What to Expect During Your Massage
After your consultation, I will leave the room to allow you time to disrobe and get on the massage table. You will lie face down, with your face in the comfortable face cradle, and cover yourself with the top sheet.
When you call out to tell me you are ready, I will come back into the room. When I feel grounded and ready, I will begin my work first with the sheet for a few minutes. This allows me to begin to assess hot and cold areas and what areas feel more tight. It also allows you to get used to my touch and to feel comfortable with me before I proceed with the massage. I will then remove the sheet from whatever area I will be working on, exposing only the part of the body I am working on, then cover it up when I move on to the next area.
Your comfort is of utmost importance to me. If you feel chilled, let me know so I can offer you a blanket. If the music is too loud or too quiet, I can adjust it. If the pressure I use is too much or too little, please let me know so I can adjust my work to make you more comfortable. This is YOUR time. Your massage should be a relaxing and enjoyable experience, not a painful or annoying one.
I work on every part of the body except breasts on a female or the genital area on either males or females. Those areas MUST remain covered with a sheet or towel. Please do not attempt to uncover those areas or expect me to perform any activity that is not within the guidelines of legal, ethical, therapeutic massage.
When I am finished my work, I will leave the room to allow you to get off the table and get dressed. Get up slowly and step off the table carefully. If you feel lightheaded, wait a minute and allow yourself more time. (If you need assistance, call me back into the room.) When you are dressed and ready for me to return, let me know.
